ABOUT

Prosthetic Makeup FX Artist
Vicky Limkalan
Vicky’s journey began at the Cinema Makeup School in Los Angeles, where she studied prosthetic makeup, props, and digital FX. There, she had the privilege of learning from industry pioneers whose expertise shaped her foundation, not only as an artist but also as a lab technician.
She later worked with Emmy Award-winning MUFX artist Bree-Anna Lehto (for Toby Lindala @Lindala Schminken FX), who played a key role in refining her prosthetic application techniques and shaping her approach to project management as a key MUFX artist.
In Montreal, she worked under Bruno Gatien, contributing to multiple Quebec and American productions. She also worked alongside Caroline Aquin, whom she considers one of the greatest mentors in makeup FX in Montreal—especially as a fellow woman in the field.
As a dedicated advocate for diversity in the industry, Vicky serves as a member and coordinator for the Diversity Committee of her union AQTIS 514 IATSE.
Her work has earned industry recognition, including a 2024 Prix Iris nomination for Best Makeup at the Gala Cinéma Québec, alongside her colleagues Rémy Couture and Bruno Gatien.
